⑧ Metric Modulation
This app makes it easy to find the values of various note durations and the BPMs of other notes that share the same duration.
It should be useful for exploring information related to metric modulation.
* If you want to calculate the lengths of the main note types all at once, please use ⑦ Calculate Note Values.
[How to Use]
Just select the note information from the dropdown lists, and the information is displayed.
* If you want to calculate the values of basic notes all at once, please use ⑦ Calculate Note Values.
[Display Format]
The note value display format can be chosen from 6 options: [seconds, milliseconds, microseconds, sec, ms, μs].
Selecting one from the dropdown list switches the display to that format.
If a result has more than 3 decimal places, the displayed value is rounded to 3 decimal places.
[Apply the Selected Note Type]
Click (tap) a note-name text in the table to update the settings so that the selected note is at the current BPM.
[Apply the Selected Note's BPM]
Click (tap) a note-name image in the table to update the settings to the selected note's BPM.
[Click a Value to Copy]
Click (tap) a BPM text in the table to copy the current BPM value (number only) to the clipboard.
The copied value is truncated to 10 decimal places.
[Shortcut Keys]

[Metric Modulation]
There are many different notes that share the same note value (duration).
Using this property of rhythm, the technique of creating the illusion that the BPM has changed—or of changing the tempo while keeping the BPMs before and after related to each other—is called "metric modulation".
